Frozen Yooper Softball

The 2008 Frozen Yooper Softball Tournament featured 12 teams on two fields in the Shepler's parking lot Saturday and Sunday February 16th and 17th. The Co-ed First Place trophy was awarded Saturday to Viau's Market/Jobbers Bar, a team from the Escanaba area. Second Place honors for the co-ed competition went the Mackinac Grille, and Mackinac Bridge finished third.

In the freezing rain, sleet, and wind on Sunday, Maple Sawmill triumphed over Bogweiser to take home top honors. Alpena II finished third. Everybody ran home in a hurry to get ready for next year's tournament!!
