What:  3-day, 12-team Men's Ice Hockey Tournament

How Much:  $650.00 US per team

All Players MUST be 18 years of age or older.

Play will begin Friday, January 23rd, at 3:00 p.m. (all teams must be available to begin play at this time.)  Each team is guaranteed 3 games. There will be 3-4 team divisions.  Each team will play the other three teams in their division.  The 1st place & 2nd place teams in each division will advance to Sunday to participate in a 6-team single elimination tournament.

Full Slap Shot - No Checking - No Redline - No Fighting (Tournament DQ)

This is the one Tournament you don't want to miss!  Come take on the 2006 USA Hockey Men's National Champion - Da'Edoardo's of Detroit, also the 4-time Defending Champions of The Little Bear Invitational.  This Tournament is full of former NCAA Division I Hockey Players, and Tier I/Major Junior Hockey Players from all over North America.

Participants in this Tournament will receive preferred consideration for entry into the Labatt Blue UP Pond Hockey Championship (4 on 4 with no goalies) to be held on Moran Bay in St. Ignace on Friday, February 20th, Saturday, February 21st, and Sunday, February 22th, 2009.  Click here for more information on the UP Pond Hockey Championship!

4 on 4 hockey with no goalies on eight 75' x 150' outside rinks with snow bank boards, played on Moran Bay overlooking Mackinac Island.

First games will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20th, with finals on Sunday, February 22.

An added bonus to this year's UP Pond Hockey Championship is a 'Friday Night Game', featuring the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Team!  Their opponents will be the top 2 teams in the 21 & Over Gold Division from the 2008 UP Pond Hockey Championship.  Tickets are $10.00 each, and we have a limited number of tickets available.  If interested, call the St. Ignace Visitors Bureau at 800-338-6660.

Part of the Michigan Snow X Race Series, participants compete on a closed, arena style course with plenty of jumps and turns to add to the excitement.

Practice starts at 8:00 a.m. each day; racing starts at 9:30 a.m.

The course is built at the parking lot of Kewadin Shores Casino on Mackinac Trail.

Tickets are $10/day or $15 for a weekend pass.  Kids 6 & Under are free.
